Change Result Grid appearance (no replies)
Is there any way i could change the default column display width in the Result Grid in Mysql Workbench 6.1?
Please take a look at this:

DATETIME values do not fit in the default width, and sometimes i would like wider VARCHAR columns also.
Changing the width by hand everytime i execute a query is becoming tiresome.

Will Connector/ODBC work with mySQL workbench (3 replies)
I'm very new to using MySQL workbench (windows 8) and would like to know if the Connector/ODBC driver will allow me to access the schemas within Workbench from the SAS software windows application.
If this is possible, does anyone know how I would even start this process to set up the connection from SAS - i have read I need a DSN but not sure how to set this up or what this really means in plain english?

Getting the grt module import into the IDE (PyCharm) (4 replies)
Hello,
I'm currently transitioning a Python plugin into a more managable project. For this matter I got myself an IDE named PyCharm.
There's the following import:
import grt
It gives me an error saying: "No module named grt."
Is there any way the IDE can pick up grt on some location so that the error goes away? (instead of simply ignoring the error, which is just a workaround though)

Hi All
I have very simple requirement but bit new to mysql so dont know much about it.
In my table 'Test_Table', I have 20 columns which will store client's product details.
I will ask Clients to provide data for 15 fields only as rest 5 are derived values. Moreover, do not want to expose last 5 columns to client as it wont make sense to them. Clients will give me these data in XLS (CSV) - NO SQL / NO XML.
As data can be in thousands row, I want to have a staging table. So 15 columns will be imported into Staging table and from Staging table, I will move to actual table with normal query or procedure.
I am not sure provision of that in MySQL. so can someone highlight available options to do so?

Hi,
Is it possible to edit views in Workbench the way it is possible to edit tables?
I have a view 'v' that I can UPDATE or INSERT - verified in the command line client.
However, a 'select * from v' is read-only in Workbench.

Workbench not capitalizing keywords (no replies)
I'm using MySQL Workbench Community (GPL) for Windows version 6.1.4 revision 11773 build 1454 (Community Server). I went into Edit>Preferences>SQL Editor and checked the 'Use UPPERCASE keywords on completion' box. I closed and restarted Workbench, and it did not work. I also restarted the computer and still nothing.

I'm absolutely beginner don't know how to use mysql workbench. I only use mysql-workbench for EER diagram. I had another version installed before mysql-workbench 6.1.
on my previous version there was a wizard to create an EER diagram but in the new version there nothing like that.
I've made a mistake by installing this version please help how to create an EER diagram step by step. or if you could tell me how to go that wizard that'll be even great.
