Coordination of Workbench and Command Line Client (no replies)

I was able to create database objects in Workbench by running a DDL script that was created with my data modeling tool. Much to my chagrin, those tables weren't subsequently found using the Command Line Client. The CLC allows me to create and "use" a database, but I don't see how to specify a database in Workbench. Obviously, I'd like to access my data structures using both Workbench and CLC. How do I get them both to see/use the same objects? I hope you can nudge me in the right direction.
