"No Connection Established" (no replies)

Hi there,

I have been dealing with this issue for a week and a half now.

I am a student and I must have MySQL WorkBench 8.0 downloaded.

I have downloaded the MySQL Workbench 8.0 but there is no connection established.

I have tried to reference Youtube videos and go through virtual class recordings and I have tried all those methods but nothing works.

I cannot remember exactly how I set it up which obviously makes things more difficult.

I have Windows 10 Home operating system

In the YouTube videos, It says I need to go to the "Services" folder and find MySQL Workbench 8.0 and select it and then click "start" I have done that and it has not solved the problem.

Do I need to download a MySQL server? Does that normally come with the download of MySQL Workbench 8.0? I downloaded the Microsoft SQL server but it is not working either after I tried to "start" it through my "Services" folder.

What should I do?
