It's been awhile since I've used mysql. I just took over a position where they set up a db on a linux server and I'm trying to use workbench on a windows machine to connect to it but keep getting error that the connection has been refused. To add to the fire, the workstation the previous person had all set up for this crashed on my second day and nothing was backed up on the server. So I'm starting totally over with no idea how he had things set up. If that's not enough stress, I need to clear out the disabled users on the database ASAP because school starts Monday and some teachers can't access the app they need... Not sure why this db wasn't set up with SQL Server with the rest of the school district. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
