while scheduling a task in mysql how to get an error message (no replies)

Hi,

I have my mysql datawarehouse in the server and i scheduled the job using event scheduler now i want to get an error alert message if the query is not executed or any error occurs in the middle of the process it should send me an error message how can i do that please help me.
