Workbench Import Hangs (1 reply)

Hangs when doing an import of a .sql file

On checking the .err file I see the following ;

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Why ? I started Workbench 6.3 and entered the correct root password.

Then select the Import process.

Is this another pathetic design fault Workbench along with the several others I have come across over the past few weeks with MySQL ?

That aside, would appreciate thoughts on how to get around this.
