I have many books on MySQL but I am unclear about the relationships between a connection, instance and database. I have three databases that I am building to learn MySQL and PHP. I have one local instance under the connection view in the workbench. Should I create a separate instance for each database? I am using this server as a learning tool only and would access one database at a time from a web browser on another computer on my private network. I plan on building a database and after testing it here I will migrate it to my web hosting service on the internet.
