I can connect to a mysql database via Socket/Pipe but when I look at the page "Options File" the following message is displayed at the bottom of mysql-workbench although there is a configuration file in a default place (/etc/my.cnf):

Configuration File: not configured

Can I set the path to the configuration file manually?
