schema does not exist (1 reply)

I am trying to make a database in MySQL Workbench. First I created a new EER Model. Then I tried to make a new connection but the connection menu doesn't see my schema. So I get a message 'doesn't exist'.Also I have a problem with users and passwords. That when I made a new user with password that I get an error message 'access denied'.I printed the manual where the making of a new database is concerned but it doesn't work at all.Please help me.

I did read and do it according to the manual, and I got nowhere.
