MySQL Workbench is not Connecting to SQL Server (4 replies)

Hello,

I have SQL Server 2012 and MySQL Workbench 6.0 both installed on a Dell XPS 2710 running Windows 8.1.

I cannot get MySQL Workbench to connect to the server using local host. I get the following errror message:

"Connecting to MySQL server localhost... Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061)"

I looked in the Task Manager Services tab to see if the SQL server was running, and it was.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
